Assam Convention 2025 Sydney, 4^th and 5^th October 2025.
We are excited to announce the Assam Convention 2025 in Sydney this year. The organising committee along with the National Convention committee takes immense pleasure in inviting you and the family to come and celebrate this event with us.
We are now open for registration to the event. This email is to give you details on the registration process and the fees etc.

The Assamese Association of Australia (ACT & NSW) will be proudly hosting this event.

Iconic Sydney city will welcome you with open arms, please do make sure you tuck in time aside to have a look around Sydney.

A convention like this gives us the opportunity to rejoice in our shared heritage, meet and exchange stories of our homes away from home.

Let us try to explain how money will be spent

Every convention costs money, so let us first talk about how money will be spent. The graph above shows what the budget allocation looks like. As you can see, it’s a lot of areas we need to think about and spend wisely. Also, you will realise that your registration fees go towards paying a lot of different expenses.

Registration details

Registration fees are as follows:

1	Adult > 18 and not a full-time student.	$120.00
2	Kids up to 13 years	Free
3	Kids – from 14 to 17	$40.00
4	Students > 17 years (engaged in full-time studies and not working > 20 hrs/week)	$50.00
5	Overseas visitors and friends of Assam (Friends from other communities, Parents/Relatives visiting from India or overseas)	$50.00

Click on the Register now button on this screen and you will be taken to the registration page.
Once you have filled up the registration form, wait for the confirmation email with instructions on how to pay.
Mark the dates on your calendar and start making your travel plans.

What happens if there’s money saved or expenses grow

Remember, this is a community event. We will be transparent with the costs. So if we don’t end up spending all your money, it will be refunded back proportionately.

Sometimes, despite our best intentions, costs may add up, and to keep the event afloat, we may need to seek additional fees. If, in the unlikely event this happens, we will pass the hat around again for your support.
